Mohamed Shafeeu
President

Born on 29th January 1966, Mr. Mohamed Shafeeu was appointed to a member of Anti-Corruption Commission of the Republic of Maldives on 9th September 2009 and elected as president of commission on 10th September 2009.

Mr. Mohamed Shafeeu started his career at Ministry of Education (MoE) after completion of his early education. Shafeeu served the education sector of the government for several years. During his tenure at MoE, he worked as a lecturer, supervisor and principal of different schools across the country.

After serving education sector for a long period, he then worked in Atolls Administration field in Ministry of Atolls and Administration. His last post before being elected to the commission was atoll chief of Alifu Alifu atoll.

Mr. Shafeeu has had extensive experience in educational and management setting of different international and local settings and participated different local and international seminars, meetings and workshops.





Muaviz Rasheed
Vice President

Muaviz Rasheed was born in 11 July 1982. He started his career at Anti – Corruption Board (ACB) as a legal officer. Prior to being elected and appointed as a member of the commission, he worked as Assistant Director General, Investigation at ACB.

After graduating in bachelors of law in Faculty of Sharia and Law in Maldives College of Higher Education, he devoted his entire career in legal profession especially in investigating corruption cases. He has also participated in various regional and international corruption and anti corruption seminars and workshops held in Malaysia, Singapore and India.

As a member of ACB and a staff at Transitional Anti Corruption Commission (ACC), he played a major role in promoting public awareness on corruption in the country by taking the center stage of various public awareness campaigns. As an informer and a lecturer, Muaviz remains to be a key player in various workshops held in the Maldives.

He has had an extensive experience in investigating various high profile corruption cases in the country prior to being appointed as a member of the ACC.





Abdulla Hilmy
Member

Abdulla Hilmy was born in 20th January 1969. After completing secondary education, his first job was an Assistant teacher at Kalaafaan School. After completing diploma in law, Hilmy devoted his entire professional career to investigate and prevent corruption in the country.

Hilmy joined Anti-Corruption Board (ACB) in April 1997. Thereafter he held different senior posts at ACB, including board member. Ha was also a member of Transitional Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

During his tenure at ACB, he travelled almost all inhabited islands of the country to investigate various corruption cases and had hands on extensive experience in the field.

He has also participated in regional workshops and seminars held on investigation techniques on corruption and anti corruption.





Khadeeja Rasheed
Member

Mrs Khadeeja Rasheed was appointed as a member of the Anti Corruption Commission on 16th September 2009. Prior to being elected and appointed as a member of the commission she worked for Attorney Generals (AG) office.

In 1992, after completing her secondary education, Khadeeja Rasheed began her career at Ahmediyya School. Upon completion of bachelors degree in law at Faculty of Sharia and Law, she worked as an Assistant State Attorney at AG office in 2005. She holds Master degree in Comparative Law at Islamic University, Malaysia.

She has also participated international seminars, meetings and workshop in various countries. She is also a member of Law Society of Maldives.
